There has never been a clearer delineation between our shadow and our better angels. It is being played out in every corner of America. On the one hand there are those who promulgate hate, division, entitlement, corruption, deception, financial grift, power, greed and mental instability and immaturity while on the other side of our collective coin there are those who stand for truth, inclusion, doing the right thing for the collective rather than for selfish motives, compassion, trust, love, justice, fairness, equity, and maturity. Voting is our most precious mechanism in Democracy. Yes John garbage cans would be the GOPs way of collecting votes and they would delight at the dumpster fire they could have. MAGA, QAnon, Supreme Court Justices, gutless politicians and those who simply follow the crowd of bullies for safety are attempting to shred democracy. Most have no working knowledge of how government works, the freedoms they enjoy because of it and the many supports they receive from the federal government. While loud obnoxious, misinformed voices are dominating the airwaves there are far more of us than them. While democrats historically bring “ a pencil to a knife fight” and the GOP brings assault rifles (so to speak) all of this has emboldened Americans to stand for what is right. We will not back down and we will not acquiesce. See you at the voting booths!
