The depth of Freudian projection is astonishing. The GOP extremists and Trump and all those in between who are complicit accuse others of being what they are. They are the enemies of the people, they are the deep state, they are the liars, grifters, and conspirators. If you tell a person who has no sense of self and are susceptible to the authority of others they are led along by the nose and their wallets. At our core we want to belong, be part of something bigger than ourselves. We find it easier to absorb the musings of another instead of using our minds and hearts to question if what they are saying is true. Trump and MAGA world is a big tent that accepts those who feel disenfranchised, discontent, excluded, entitled, dominant, fearful, angry etc. Trump saw in these Americans the mirror of himself. For Trump as a person with malignant narcissism weakness and failure are tantamount to death and he is willing to continue to lie than face the blaring factual evidence that he lost the presidency. He began the set up long before the first vote was cast because at a core level he knew there was a distinct possibility he would lose. What we are witnessing is the dark shadows of the human psyche. Present in all of us to varying degrees. The politicians that pledged allegiance to maintain their power are asking for pardons for crimes committed. Our shadows will eat us alive if we give it the air time. Karma is real and one of the universal laws of this planet. I take comfort in knowing there are more awakened Americans than those who live from shadow, that we are overseen and supported by otherworldly forces that know this dismantling is part of a larger plan to restore truth, decency, unity and compassion and of course the moral tenet of “doing the right thing”. Fear is our true enemy. Even the fear we share that the patients have taken over the asylum and we are headed for disaster. While things appear quite grim and sinister I chose to bloom where I am planted, speak truth to power and continue to offer goodness into this world.
