Thank you John for the psychological underpinnings of Putin. I would also say he is a sociopath with no regard for life. He shows us the destructive behaviors that powerful men and government have caused across history, while the people want no such thing. I work in the mental health field and was personally raised by a narcissistic mother although not the malignant type that Putin is. When Trump was in the primaries I posted on Facebook those definitions because his behavior was clearly that. Many tried to understand his actions using rationality rather than understanding these mental illnesses and the reality that personality disorders do not improve over time there is no therapy pill etc that will heal those deep pervasive since childhood brain changes. Looking at it from a higher vantage point the dark motivations we see in Putin, Trump and all the other insecure, power hungry dictators of the world serve a purpose in driving us to unite, support , believe in freedom and in this case globally step up to support Ukraine. The sanctions from the EU, US, NATO along with Russian sports figures, average citizen’s all over the world protesting, donating and most importantly watching the sheer bravery of Zelensky and the people of Ukraine is awe inspiring. Collectively we are creating our new world order of brotherhood, peace, cooperation and accountability. We all know wars are senseless acts of violence and have no place in our world. I had an intuition a while back that Putin will fall and his arch enemy opposition leader Navalny will be the Russian president. Let’s hope I’m right! In the meantime I will continue to hold Ukraine in my heart, send light, power n prayers. A new day is dawning and we all play a part!
