Excellent. Not one Republican voted for this legislation. They have been obstructionists for a few decades. During the Trump train wreck their long held ideological positions have faded behind a veil of overt racism, denialism, fascism, support of white supremacy, embracing and celebrating corruption and criminal activity and all the while demonizing Democrats and their liberal (we really want to help the people) intentions. We often shoot ourselves in the foot before we realize we are bleeding. The GOP has done and continues to do that through supporting a megalomaniac who doesn’t think twice about packing top secret docs into the UHaul destined for his palatial estate. The power of the enlightened masses will continue to push for what’s right. As they bleed out their constituents minus the most hardened MAGA supporter will realize “Hey are lives are getting better, maybe Biden isn’t so bad”. In giving another an opportunity to show us their intentions we give ourselves the same. We are shaken out of the political and media darkness to see what us really true. All of us who support doing the right thing and working to make this country a better place to live will leave behind the noise, the unbridled rage and discontentment that is fueled by personal grievance, insecurity and a need to be parented by our President. As Kennedy said “ask not what the country can do for you but rather what you can do for your country”. We are the country and we owe it to each other in our own corner of this land to contribute in ways that uplift rather than destroy.
